British breech loading single shot rifle circa 1860s-1870s. 30.5" iron barrel, blade front sight, flip up ladder rear sight, sword bar style bayonet lug, iron furniture, rounded trigger, cup hammer face, smooth brown leather sling, cleaning rod, and checkered walnut straight grip shoulder stock with inlaid circular escutcheon and smooth metal buttplate. Rifle displays no discernable military proofs and has a signed but illegible lock. Metal surfaces are evenly pitted throughout. Action is mechanically sound, the bore shows good luster and rifling with pitting towards the muzzle and the wood stock is good with losses on either side of the action.
